FBI Honors Internship Program

Requirements: 
  • Willingness to represent the FBI upon returning to campus
  • Full-time student with Junior or Senior status
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must be citizens of the United States
  • Candidates must pass an FBI background investigation (see http://www.fbijobs.gov/5.asp for more details) and receive a Top Secret Security Clearance

Description: 
Undergraduate and graduate students work side-by-side with Special Agents and Professional Staff as members of the Bureau, gaining an insider's view of FBI operations as they explore career opportunities available with the FBI.
Location: 
Washington, DC
Duration: 
10 week internship stretching from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August.
Compensation: 
  • Undergraduate interns are paid at the GS-6 grade level on the government pay scale (approximately $1,270 per each two-week pay period or $6,350 over the course of the summer on a pre-tax basis).
  • Graduate Honors Interns are paid at the GS-7 grade level on the government pay scale (approximately $1,410 per each two-week pay period or $7,050 over the course of the summer on a pre-tax basis).
  • The FBI also reimburses Interns for all expenses incurred for travel to and from Washington, D.C., at the beginning and end of the program. Travel arrangements must be coordinated with the FBI in order for them to be reimbursed.
