Earn up to $15 per hour as a junior engineer, working alongside experienced Senior Engineers who are experts in the Search Industry and assist them in their tasks and projects in the development of an innovative search engine with a fast growing, new Utah based, high tech company!

These senior engineers will direct you in your daily tasks and will train and mentor you in fulfilling your responsibilities.

The skills we are looking for in a UI programmer include the following.

1. Proficiency with JavaScript. Experience with a JavaScript library like jquery, scriptaculous, YUI etc. is a plus -- experience with extjs is best of all.

2. Proficiency with xml. Should understand xml namespaces, xsl, etc.

3. Proficiency with CSS. Should know the difference between CSS 2 and 2.1, 2.1 and 3, etc. Also, should be very comfortable coding around issues like IE's flawed box model, building layouts with divs instead of tables, etc.

4. Moderate experience with JSON and simple XML web interfaces (e.g., google maps, google docs data api, or similar stuff).

5. Experience with Firebug useful and would be helpful to understand XSS (cross-site scripting) issues and the "same origin policy".

We are located directly east of the University Mall bus stop, so you can get a direct bus from UVU to the mall and not need a car to get to work. This position could lead to a full-time salaried job with Perfect Search upon graduation.
