Job Description: 
Assists the CSR in installing, troubleshooting and maintaining Macintosh and Linux computers in the Chemistry and Biochemistry department. Must be technically capable to work on a team with other CSRs to provide computer support for the faculty, staff, and students. May be asked to assists on other projects as needed. Qualifications: - Must currently use a Macintosh computer as their primary computing platform NO EXCEPTIONS! - Knowledge of and prior experience in supporting all versions of MacOS with emphisis on OS X Required. - Server experience a big plus. - Ability to troubleshoot and install new Macintosh hardware. - Linux and windows experience a strong plus especially with Virtual PC, BootCamp, and Parallels. - Prior experience in hardware troubleshooting and computer repair skills. - Working knowledge of SQL,PHP,and HTML. - Willingness to accept directions, but highly self-motivated once given a task. - Excellent people skills: will be working with faculty, staff, and students with wide ranges of computer literacy. - Competency in standard office and productivity applications. - Experience with computer networks, (cables, switches, routers, firewalls, punch-blocks) Application Instructions: To apply, email resume and cover letter to CSR@chem.byu.edu or send/bring resume and cover letter to N209 NICB.
