About Bill Hays
After Dr. Hays received a B.S. degree in mathematics and physics at East Texas State, he completed his M.S. in computer science at the University of Iowa and obtained a Ph.D. in computer science (1970) at Northwestern. He has worked for the Bell Telephone Laboratories in Illinois and at the White Sands Missile Range. His work experience includes consulting with Signetics, IBM, and GTE.
Dr. Hays was one of the early faculty members in the Computer Science Department at Brigham Young University. He has actively promoted computer-based instruction and has contributed to many of the department's research efforts. He has published numerous papers in varied areas of interest. He is a member of ACM.
