Welcome to Our Newest Faculty Member, Eric Ringger!

Eric Ringger has recently joined the Computer Science Department faculty. Dr. Ringger comes from Microsoft Research's Natural Language Processing group and has worked in several areas of NLP, including the TRAINS dialog system as a doctoral student at the University of Rochester, the MSR-MT translation system at Microsoft, and the TaskFlags email classification system. He is the father of four children, all in elementary school this year, and is married to Kirsti Asplund Ringger, who he met as an undergraduate student at BYU.
