As director of business operations and strategy for Google, Danny A.Young leads project teams addressing strategic opportunities and designing efficient business processes for the company.  He has been involved in projects reviewing privacy practices across Google, designing efficient processes for business development,setting quarterly corporate goals and identifying growth barriers for Google’s display advertising business.Prior to Google, he was a senior advisor for private investment firm TPG, workingwith TPG portfolio companies to identify and realize revenue growth and marginmaximization opportunities.  He also spent 11 years with Dell as a general manager andmarketing director, including head of marketing for Asia-Pacific/Japan and head of thecorporate strategy group, reporting to the office of the chairman.  Young was a case team leader at Bain & Company where his work included sales andchannel strategy, consumer entry strategy, product pricing and manufacturing sourcing.He began his career as a software engineer at several technology companies including Novell and two startups.At BYU he was named the outstanding computer science graduate for his graduatingclass and was a Karl G. Maeser scholar. He went on to MIT and earned his Master ofScience. He is married to Tracy Noda Young and they have two children.
