Attendees will gain insight into the world of video game development, covering topics such as industry trends, technical challenges, work environment, and team structure.  Also covered will be information about the job market in general, with details on careers, growth potential, compensation, and the ever important facts about what employers are seeking in job applicants.  And there will be swag.


Rob Nelson is the Director of Technology at Avalanche Software, an internal Disney Interactive Studio based in Salt Lake City.  He's worked in the games industry for 16 years, with hands on experience on 15 published titles on all consoles from the Sega Genesis to the PS3.   Prior to Avalanche software he worked at Acclaim Studios Salt Lake City as Technical Director, Sculptured Software as a Lead Programmer, and Evans and Sutherland as a Software Engineer.  He received his BS in Computer Science from the University of Utah.
