Job Description: 

We are looking for an experienced VMware Admin to join us in the realm of multi-tenant hosting. You’ll apply your technical prowess and problem-solving skills to develop and maintain a robust, reliable, high-performance foundation for some of the largest healthcare organizations in the country to access our world-class software. Our multi-tenant, ever-growing environment scales to thousands of compute nodes with a focus on end-user performance. Spend more time automating and orchestrating and less time performing point-and-click tasks. As part of Epic's hosting team, you'll enjoy opportunities to keep abreast of the latest technologies, perform a wide variety of day to day tasks from traditional networking to storage administration, and collaborate and influence the design of our high-performance systems that ultimately allow healthcare providers to better do what they do best - take great care of patients. 

Maintain smooth operation of multi-tenant virtualization environment, including coordination with and responsibilities in network, storage, and compute teams. Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Perform non-disruptive patching of systems as well as increasing compute resources. Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software, and allocating mass storage space. Interact with system administrators of other areas and evaluate vendor products.

3+ years' experience with VMware vCenter
Experience using the vRealize suite - Operations Manager, Log Insight, Orchestrator, and Automation
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, hypervisor, and advanced OS issues
Familiarity with vSphere PowerCLI, ability to write simple scripts
Knowledge of ESXi CLI
Experience with standard VMware certification (VCP-DCV 4, 5, or 6)
Experience with Cisco UCS hardware
Experience with customizing workflows in vSphere Orchestrator
