National Instruments Scholarship Awards

The recipients for this year's National Instruments Half-Tuition Scholarship Award are Cristobal Alvarez and Matthew Maxwell. They are the two Computer Science Majors who have been selected to receive a half-tuition scholarship for Fall 2004 and Winter 2005 semesters. The National Instruments Scholarship Award is made possible by the generosity of National Instruments and NI employees, who are also BYU Alumni.

ORCA Mentoring Grant Proposal deadline extended!

Due to the many students who were unable to submit ORCA Mentoring Grant proposals by the end of October, ORCA is accepting a second round of proposals due November 30, 2004. No further rounds of funding will be available this academic year, including Winter Semester. Read more...

Graduate Student Association Representatives

Spencer Cox and Dan Delorey are the Computer Science Graduate Student Asociation (GSA) Representatives. Spencer represents the department and the graduate students on the University level, and Dan is the Graduate Student Representative within the Department. Spencer attends the University GSA meetings twice a month and Dan contributes in the Comptuer Science Graduate Committee meetings when they meet.

Thanksgiving Holiday Hours

The CS Main Office will close at Noon Wednesday, November 24th for the Thanksgiving Holdiay. The Talmage Building and CS Labs will be closed Thursday and Friday (11/25 & 11/26) for the holiday. On Wednesday (11/24) and Saturday (11/27) of the same week the CS Labs will be open from 9 AM to 5 PM. Please make a note of the special hours and the days that they are closed. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the CS Main Office in 3361 TMCB or at 422-3027.
