Job Description: 

BYU Publications & Graphics Programmer Opening
BYU Publications & Graphics, which provides editorial, design, and web sites for the university, is looking for a freshman/sophomore CS or IT student. You will join seven other students, including computer-programming seniors, to do web programming, server administration, and other technical projects for the department.
The department uses Mac computers internally and Linux machines for our websites so Unix experience will be helpful but is also not required. To see some of our major projects go to,, or
We would like to hire someone who can start work in the winter semester, but if you’re around during the holidays, we could start your training then.
We prefer younger students who have sufficient skills and judgment, and then we can “train them up” in the way we go. We design our working environment and the wage to encourage some staying power. Working hours are generally flexible, though we like to see you around when we’re here, generally between 9 to 5. It is possible to work up to 40 hours per week spring/summer terms and 20 hours fall and winter semesters.
Technologies Used Daily
Experience with some of the above. We will train on the rest.
Confidence in trouble-shooting and programming.
BYU student status for the duration of the internship
Ping Pong skills helpful.
Job Info
