Future Needs

We feel strongly that the key to our future is the quality of faculty we hire. We are building a list of potential faculty candidates who could become part of the Department as openings become available in the future. We would like to make this need known to as many potential faculty members as possible. Many people do not realize the dramatic changes in the department over the last ten years. We have had a PhD program since 1986 and are performing substantive research in many areas.

You could really help out by letting us know of any possible candidates (including a way to get hold of them) who could combine solid research and teaching to improve our department. This includes people (yourself, if applicable) who have

  • A solid background in academic or industrial research
  • Have recently received the PhD in Computer Science or a related field or
  • Are currently in a PhD program.

We are just as interested in people who, though not currently in a position to consider BYU, might be in the next few years. We are putting together a list of current and future candidates so that we can stay in touch and monitor their interest. Please send email to recruiting@cs.byu.edu with any questions or information you have. Thank you.
