Reporting Sensitive Issues

In the BYU Computer Science Department, we seek to build a community where every person is treated as a child of God — with dignity, respect, and belonging — in keeping with the teachings of Jesus Christ and the BYU Statement on Belonging.

If you’ve experienced or witnessed something that doesn’t reflect this, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can do so in confidence, and we will help you find the right support.

A good place to start is by reaching out to Jen Bonnett, our Director of Belonging and Advising, or our Belonging Mentors. We’re glad to listen and to help connect you with the right resources.

You can also report a concern directly through one of these university offices:

Discrimination and Reconciliation (Office of Belonging) — for concerns involving discrimination, prejudice, or bias, such as those based on race, nationality, or background, and to learn about the university’s reconciliation process.

Title IX Office — to report sexual harassment, sexual assault, or sex- or gender-based discrimination.
