- We seek inspiration to identify ways that computing can improve lives.
- We pursue research programs that have impact both in the academic community and the world.
- We aim to realize President Kimball’s prophetic vision of producing “excellence" in the field of computer science.
Inspired teaching and mentoring
- We seek to build confidence, knowledge, creativity and curiosity through student-centered pedagogy
- We offer experiential learning opportunities to strengthen student competence
- We place student mentoring at the core of our research program
- We provide meaningful experiences with faculty in the classroom
- We create transformative experiences beyond the classroom: in research labs, capstone projects, internships, etc.
Respect and belonging
- We strive to be of one heart and one mind, putting our covenantal commitment to follow Jesus Christ at the forefront of all interactions.
