Description: MAchine Translation Research and Interlingual eXperimentation (MATRIX) Lab. Student researchers gather and prepare text, audio, and video data in almost 100 human languages and use it to create and/or fine-tune neural machine translation (NMT) models and multilingual large language models (LLMs), experimenting with some of the latest methods in the fields of AI and NMT and extending them in new and innovative ways. This technology can break down language barriers across the world, at the same time helping to spread the message of the restored gospel throughout the world
