Connect with Students

BYU and the Computer Science Department give companies an opportunity to connect with our students.

Company Opportunities

Career Fairs

Companies in the computer science industry can participate in the University's annual career fairs. You can learn more about these through the BYU Careers & Experiential Learning website.

Clubs

Many of our clubs offer opportunities for companies to sponsor and be involved with club events. This is a great way to get face-time with our students (since we do not allow recruiting in classes). If you are interested in participating in an event of this type, please contact the Computer Science Department Office Manager Katie Gneiting.

Information Sessions

BYU Career Services can host companies who want to communicate their name and mission to prospective employees. They will assist you in scheduling campus rooms and services for information sessions. They will also publicize the event to your preferred student majors. If you are interested in learning more click on this link that will take you to the BYU Careers & Experiential Learning: Information Sessions Info.

Mock Interviews

Mock interviews give students an opportunity to experience the kinds of questions and problems that they will have to answer in an interview. Students learn to think on their feet and apply the principles that they have learned in their classes in front of a recruiting expert. If you are interested in participating in mock interviews, contact the Computer Science Department External Relations Manager Sarah Warcup.

Talmage Building Booths

Companies may advertise internship and employment opportunities to Computer Science students by setting up a table in the first-floor foyer of the Talmage Building. There is no charge for this opportunity, but available dates and times are limited and companies will be vetted before scheduling. If you are interested in holding a booth, please contact the Computer Science Department Academic Undergraduate Advisor Lynnette Nelson.
