Scott T. Toborg, Ph.D., is an AI, data science, and technology strategy leader with more than four decades of experience spanning academia, enterprise analytics, telecommunications, software, and advanced research. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at Brigham Young University, where he teaches courses in AI engineering, technology strategy, machine learning capstone, data science, and MLOps.
His industry leadership includes executive roles at Nu Skin, Teradata, AT&T, Control4, 360networks, and multiple technology startups, where he led global teams, managed major product portfolios, built large-scale data and analytics platforms, and delivered AI/ML solutions for churn prediction, recommendations, personalization, forecasting, and network optimization.
Earlier in his career, he conducted pioneering research in neural networks, computer vision, image processing, and satellite systems at IBM Research, Hughes Research Labs, AT&T Labs, and MCC Research. Dr. Toborg holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering (Machine Learning) from USC, an M.S. in Computer Science from BYU, and a B.S. in Applied Physics from BYU.
