Abstract:

I propose a line of research to investigate profit maximization in a market with dynamic coalition formation. After an introduction and explanation to how this relates to past work, I propose functions to measure cooperation and performance for a given market system. A set of research questions relating cooperation and performance to scenarios of fixed coalitions and dynamic coalitions is provided. I will investigate a how to achieve profit maximization through using mechanism design to create or control a market leader.
