After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a Linguistics minor from BYU, Justin went to Carnegie Mellon University, where he completed a Masters degree in Language Technologies and pursued a doctoral degree in the same field. Before finishing, however, he left to start a company called Solvvy, which provided conversational AI solutions for customer support automation. While Justin was Chief Technology Offer at Solvvy, the company was acquired by Zoom Video Communications in May 2022. Justin is currently an AI Manager at Zoom, helping to lead their efforts in Large Language Models, text summarization, and virtual assistants.
